The 2023 US Open runs from August 28-September 10, 2023 and will be played in Flushing Meadows, New York. We’ve been tracking the odds of every player involved leading up to the event and have charted them below in a series of easy-to-follow graphs. Each graph has been generated by averaging the odds from multiple sportsbooks to give you a better sense of each player’s true chance of winning the 2024 US Open.

2023 US Open Men’s Singles Top Contenders

Djokovic has slipped slightly in the odds over the year as Alcaraz has overtaken him as the US Open favorite.

• [Aug 15] Carlos Alcaraz has seen his odds shorten during the year from +350 in February to now being the favorite at +125 now
• [Feb 17] Last year’s winner Carlos Alcaraz is the third favorite to win the US Open with odds of +350, while Novak Djokovic leads the way at +140. Daniil Medvedev comes in between the two at +300

2023 US Open Men’s Singles Odds

The top five favorites are Alcaraz at +125, followed by Djokovic, Medvedev, Sinner and Ruud. All odds as of August 15 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Odds for Past US Open Men’s Champions

The US Open has seen a different winner in each of the past five years. In 2022 Carlos Alcaraz defeated Casper Ruud 6-4, 2-6, 7-6(7-1), 6-3 to win in four sets and win his first US Open title.

Medvedev became the second Russian to win the event, with the first being Marat Safin in 2000.

No American has won since Andy Roddick in 2003, but the United States still has 85 total wins. With Alcaraz winning in 2022, Spain now has the third-most wins with seven.

2023 US Open Women’s Singles Top Contenders

Switaek has remained the favorite all throughout 2023 to defend who title as US Open winner.

• [Aug 15] Swiatek comes in as the top favorite with the US Open nearing, with both Sabalenka and Rybakina following in the top three. Pegula’s odds have shortened from +1600 down to +1000 during the season, Mirra Andreeva, who was notwhere near the top 20 earlier in the season, now has US Open odds of +2000, making her a top ten favorite now
• [Feb 17] Iga Swiatek is the early favorite by a wide margin at +250 odds, followed by Aryna Sabalenka at +700

2023 US Open Women’s Singles Odds

Defending champion Swiatek leads the way in the US Open odds above, while finalist Ons Jabeur is also among the contenders again at +1400 odds.

Odds for Past US Open Women’s Champions

In their US Open Finals match in 2022, Swiatek defeated Jabeur 6-2, 7-6(7-5), winning in straight sets.

Americans have generally dominated the event, but have just one win (Sloane Stephens in 2017) in the last eight years. In 2022 Swiatek became the first Polish woman to win the event, while in 2021 Emma Raducanu was only the second British woman to win in the Open Era since Virginia Wade in 1968.
